I designed this vehicle from concept through manufacturing. This is a rendering that I produced in Solidworks.

I was able to do a cost analysis and save the company money by designing 3D printed fins instead of machined fins or a molded tail piece.

I modeled a lost mold based on geometry of a part that we had.This was modeled in Solidworks.

UAV Vehicle Communication System:

Designed a communication system that could be dragged behind a small boat.

Created a design that is cost and time efficient by doing a design cost analysis.

Used rapid prototyping to deliver a design that has parts which are rapidly replaceable when damaged during operation in the ocean or on the boat.

Generated engineering drawings and provided support to the suppliers during manufacturing.

Assembled the first product, redlined the drawings, and completed engineering change orders.

Material Properties Testing:

Designed and and machined a test setup to determine the coefficient of friction of the bolt lubricant used to determine correct torque values.

Designed a pressure test procedure to determine the strength of additive manufacturing materials at depth.

Designed an actuation system that uses buoyancy to raise a sensor.

Design a mold from an existing part so it can be manufactured again.

Toleranced and maintained the 3D printer and created documentation for the team on best design practices for 3D printing.
